I'm actually going with this combo for my F80. Its not really in your face bright but looks amazing on the car nevertheless...different shades in different lighting condition.

I currently drive AW so I wanted something different. I still feel like going with AW again, just shows the lines beautifully on the car but I really want something different so ended up going with SO.

Please stick with this combo. Meant in your face bright in a positive way

Having also got an Alpine White E36, and seeing an AW M4, I think SO should be the way forward... It's an exciting colour!

This is my build too...wish I had photos, but waiting on a week 36 build! It will be great. I saw a SO/SO M4 at my dealer about 6 weeks ago...it looked great.

Some people have said that it in real life it is more of a rust color than the red/orange shown in the pictures...would you agree? I wish I could see it in real life, but none of the dealers in my area have one.

Depends on the light. I have seen it on an M6 in bright FL sunlight and inside the dealer…pic below (that is the M4 that is SO/SO). Outside I think it has more yellow in it and is brighter orange. Inside I think it looks a little more rust. We have been lucky here…my dealer had that M4 at the end of June right when I was ordering, and when I stopped by there last week, they had an M6 parked right outside in the sun...

To me it is an interesting color, but I have never been one for plain cars. My 335 is Barbera Red. Everyone that I knew who had a BMW in Germany when we lived there had white, black or silver. Nothing against any of those colors, but they are not typically for me. Lots of folks gave me their opinions when that car was being ordered, but I went with the same thought that has been stated on this site many times in color discussions…you have to go with what will make you happy, not what makes others happy.

I still turn around in the parking lot after parking and take another look at my 335…know I will do this with the M3 too!

Here's a shot I took of SoccerDad's M3 at Spa Francorchamps during the Bimmerpost M3/M4 European Delivery trip. I have to admit though that when I took this shot, getting a pic of the color combo was not even on my mind

Just saw an M4 in the wild in Shakir Orange. Looked awesome. Another color that's hard to photograph. Had a Shakir Orange interior as well.
