Do you guys think this is a good deal or a little overpriced? If so, what would be a good counter offer? How much do you guys think the car would be worth in two years from now?
Year: 2012 Model: Gray e92 with two tone red and black interior Miles: 36k miles (I find them a little high for the year) Transmission: DTC Optionals: Every optional including competition package and enhanced premium sound. Clean carfax, 1 owner For $50k (from a dealer) |

Offer 45 k and settle at 46.5k.
In three months or so, it will drop at least to 45-47 k offer price if it does not move. So, just offer now and see what happens. For 55k you can get a loaded 2013 with 20k miles. If you can squeeze 55k seek a 2013 with half the miles on it. |

I'm in the process of purchasing a 2012 e92 MW with blk/red fully loaded dct with 21k mi. In service date of 7/12. Partial clear bra and near flawless exterior/interior, non-cpo, clean car fax and only dealer issue was a rattle. $52k. Not the greatest but seems to be fair. It's from carmax so no negotiating available. I think you could probably get them down 2-3k if it's been on their lot a while.

cash or finance through dealer?
have a trade? There's a lot more factors that goes into a car's quote when a dealer gives you a number. read my posts on this page, read what others have been paying, then let's talk: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...366319&page=73 Keep in mind, people in this thread hasn't been accounting for cash/finance/trade parts of the equation. A dealer can give you a better price if you finance through him...of course, generally, you're paying more in interest than the deal he's giving you off the list price. Same goes with trades. I would say for your car, with a cash deal, no trade, I would aim for high $40s, say $46-8k. But we don't know anything about this car, sticker price, condition, etc. Personally, I would pass on this car or ask for a bigger discount. It has been driven more than the average vehicle in the US by about 6k miles a year. Last edited by Flying Ace; 09-05-2014 at 03:13 PM.. |

I just purchased a 2012 with 14k miles for 53k. It was in mint condition and bought from the local BMW dealer that knew the full history (see pics in my earlier post). Mine is fully loaded with ZCP, ZPP and ZWP (I think I got the codes right). It was CPO but they reduced it to a non-CPO to get rid of the summer inventory since winter is coming up her near the wall in Wisconsin!

I think it's fine because it's one owner and the car was probably not completely abused. Since the car is 2012 it's probably not modded and then returned back to stock, not enough time. There are so many miles in a short time that those are probably freeway miles, not track miles. Freeway miles are better than track or city miles. I think it's more important to find a good car than a good price. But it couldn't hurt to offer a low price since it's a buyers market.

Is this the car by any chance?
http://www.brickellluxurymotors.com/...f81b940b2f.htm If so, contrary to what you've been told or seen, it does not appear to have the advertised Competition Package nor the 19' Y spoke alloy wheels that go with that option. It's got the 19" wheel option, but that's all. Big difference between the two. Just thought to check into it a bit, and, advise you on what I've seen. |

I ended up getting the car. The guy showed me the window sticker and it says competiton package. So i'm pretty certain it does have it.
Thank you for all the responses, i really appreciate it! |
