Broken Mirror

Now, I could be generous and say that someone accidently knocked my mirror when I was parked on the street:

but I find that hard to believe.

I was parked (for those of you in Houston) on Roseland on the block north of Richmond for no more than 15 minutes.

I came out to the glass part of the mirror on the street, and the casing twisted back against the car in an unnatural configuration.

The good news is that the mirror casing seems to be fine. I snapped the broken mirror back in place, and ordered a new one.

I am about $350 poorer, but smarter. I will always fold my mirrors when I park on the street now.

you should code your car so that when you lock the vehicle the mirror automatically fold...

I'm sure the mirrors are still great fun to break out from folded position... doesn't matter what you do if you have these kind of people passing by man.....

This could have occurred by a cyclist. In which case folding the mirrors would have prevented this. I wouldn't park there again!

This is one of those things where you wish you had a minute back. It is easy to fold the mirrors, but I agree that coding the system to fold automatically would make more sense.

What is wrong with people?
