M6 Gran Coupe vs Nissan GT-R (both stock)
Not a bad showing for a 4,400lbs car.
I would've posted this in the M6 section, but this side gets more action.

Where was this race, that location appears to be a common one.

Impressive video.
Sometimes it seems like GTR's have almost almost a mythical and infallible reputation, and rightfully so to a degree; they are one of the baddest beasts period. But, I've slayed my fair share (the earlier model year the easier the kill of course). The AWD launch and high-gearing makes them monsters in 0-60 and the 1/4 mile, but from a roll they vulnerable. The S63TU from a roll is so formidable it's scary... |

The next GTR though, forget about it. That thing is going to be scary fast not that it already isn't. Crazy rumors are floating around it's going to be 800hp from the factory and will utilized hybrid assist drive train. That means no torque lag of any kind and instantaneous acceleration. Combined with a DCT transmission, it will be a true Godzilla and every fanboy's wet dream. It may even put the new Vette Z06 to shame. Who am I kidding, it totally will. But I am sure will we start to see pricetag of 2019 GTR's for over $150k easily.

Yeah the Hybrid Assist Drivetrain has pretty much been let out of the bag by Nissan, but the horsepower numbers are still very much up in the air at this point.

I've heard 700 HP on the new GTR. 500 HP is the new 400, 600 HP is the new 500, etc, so 700 seems plausible, especially given the recent HP wars, which will escalate to who-knows-where in a few years....

After owning a "slower gtr" with stock 485 hp, Im surprised a little that the GC didnt pull a little better from the roll and its rwd platform. My GTR was not amazing over 120 mph to say the least (relative to my fleet at that time) until I did HKS, Cobb, Injector, Exhaust mods. But again this is the faster GTR in its current iteration.

You are right, but it's not just software! The main key for Mclaren is the mid mounted engine configuration that distribute the majority of weight to the rear axle (at take off) to have a almost perfect traction.
