I didn't watch the vid but does the car seem slightly underpowered vs other cars in the segment? Are there times for 0-60, 100, etc...

Yes that is what I noticed too. Also I find the looks to be a bit odd. It is almost like mercedes wanted to build a Porsche but couldn't bring themselves to see it through - the design harmony isn't coherent.

It's a short back long front two seater because of the front engine design. I think it's an interesting looking car that will give the Jag F Type R Coupe some competition. They are both nice looking cars IMO and the MB has a good exhaust note as well.

I'm guessing closer to the C2S maybe. 911 Turbo would make it way too expensive to be competitive.

That's probably true for the base one. But the turbo is closer for the S version with 503hp.

The Jag has the best stock note I have ever heard--- ever better than my 458 (when stock). I do agree AMG's have brilliant sound (had 8 and only the CL65 sucked soundwise). The Jag's price point via msrp is circa 105k with heavily optioned ones hitting 110-115 and lighter ones coming in close to 100k (F Type R). I dont think these two will be close in price as AMG pre launch prices vs allocation always come in light. But as you mentioned, their performance numbers will be compared since they run in the two seater market.
