BMW M4 Safety Car Launched for Play Station Gran Turismo 6
BIMMERPOST NEWS BMW M4 Safety Launched for Play Station Gran Truismo 6 Woodcliff Lake, N.J. November 4th, 2014 09:00am Pacific / 12:00pm Eastern… BMW of North America and Polyphony Digital, Inc. announced today at the 2014 SEMA Show that the new BMW M Performance M4 Safety Car will be made available, in virtual form, to owners of the Gran Turismo®6 game for the PlayStation®3 system as a free update in late November. The BMW M Performance M4 Safety Car made its North American industry premiere today at the show as a demonstration vehicle for BMW M Performance Parts in North America. Working in partnership, Polyphony Digital, Inc. and BMW have managed to make the rare BMW M4 Safety Car into a playable reality for all. At this year’s SEMA Show, industry showgoers will view the actual BMW M Performance M4 Safety Car, be among the first to drive it on the Gran Turismo 6 simulators. The BMW M Performance M4 Safety Car was produced by BMW of North America as an exciting showcase for the latest accessories in the popular M Performance Parts catalog, which are often used by BMW owners to fully personalize The Ultimate Driving Machine®. The Safety Car began as a series-production, 2015 BMW M4 Coupe and features a custom body wrap by 3M in BMW Motorsport theme colors. Next, BMW added a full complement of BMW M Performance parts available for the M4: carbon fiber splitter system, side splitters, carbon fiber mirror caps, carbon fiber rear spoiler, carbon fiber rear diffuser, black BMW kidney grilles, black side gills, and titanium exhaust system with carbon fiber exhaust tips. The M4 Safety Car theme is completed by a set of LED grille-mounted flashers and LED rooftop light bar. |

Gt5 is much better than gt6.
Speaking from a player that's been playing gt on daily basis for more than 3 yrs.

if I remember correctly, even now they still don't allow the M4 to be modified. I also dislike the game because it has hundreds and hundreds of irrelevant and poorly rendered 90's Japanese cars but not a recent 3 series. When played with the Logitec G27 in my neighbor's house it is jaw-droppingly realistic when it comes to grip and vehicle dynamic though.

This update was also announced to bring modifications (suspension, wheels, brakes, etc.) to the M4, including the ability to put on M Performance parts and black kidney grilles, a first for a car in Gran Turismo 6 to offer real life tuning parts.

OK found the answer:
"The car will become available in the next update for the game, which will also introduce new tuning parts and options for the base model of M4 Coupé. Additional customization options will include painted kidney grills, larger wheel sizes, hood pins, and additional aero parts. There is still no word on exactly when the next game update will be released. Stay tuned for more news from SEMA this week as Polyphony Digital’s modeling team visits the car show in Las Vegas…"

Loved GT6 when it came out, but have become so used to (seduced by) next gen visuals such as Forza Horizon 2 that I just keep wishing that GT7 on PS4 isn't far away...

Anyone know gt academy? Gt academy recruits drivers from amongst the gamers of gran Turismo game and by now they have several very good profesional drivers competing in different GT based championships and also open wheel ones. Lucas Ordonez, the first academy winner has won almost every championship he has competed in real life , after becoming a profesional racing driver by winning gt academy, and they say he may go in F1 soon.
I am no Gran Turismo fan boy and at times I like Forza a lot more, but you CAN NOT drive a car in Forza and then drive it the same in real life. On the other hand Gran Turismo physics are very accurate. |
