M Dkg Vs Dkg

Hey guys i just wonder what is the difference between M DKG and DKG ? I know that M cars uses M DKG but the regular bmw cars such as bmw z4 3.5i uses DKG. Does anyone can tell what the diff is btw transmissions?

I don't think there's much of a difference outside of some minor mechanical stuff and maybe software. I'm pretty sure it's the same architecture.

it is a dual clutch transmission which uses two clutch. İn M cars it is M DKG

Yes our M DKG transmission ( DKG-DCT are same ) and just a DKG i want to learn the difference

Is DKG the non-US designation for DCT? Dual K(lutch) Gearbox?

No it is the German name for DKG ( Doppel-Kupplungs-Getriebe ). Both are same DCT and DKG just different language
