Side mirrors

Hi,

Does anyone know why is there difference in side mirrors. Differences are shown on these two pictures.

On the first one, the black part of mirror is in matte stile, like it's made of plastic, and on the second is glassy.

Does anyone know why is difference of that part?

The car with the glossy black lower mirror housing has Shadowline exterior trim, the other does not.

I thought the shadow line trims were standard and can't be ordered differently. To be honest here I kinda rather have my side mirrors in matte black instead of gloss. I already have tons of micro scratches there and no way I can polish it out by hand. Because of that I may need to invest in one of those small 3" polisher

That's odd. Mine are glossy.

did not know that. I've ever seen the non-shadow line version ever. Perhaps it does not exist in Canada.

US cars have shadow line standard, euro cars it's optional. I did not take shadow line and all the glossy parts are matte.
I liked the matte just as much so didn't really see the point.

Its a 500 € option! I paid for it but I have seen on the French website that they offer it now. I have been tricked

This is true in the US and some other countries, but not worldwide.

lol So many different versions of parts this thing has. Definitely like the matte look and as Wei718 said, less work to maintain.
