Can I get a feedback on the Macht Schnell X-pipe..
Hi everyone! I currently have an akrapovic slip on. I am looking for a catless x-pipe to add some hp.
I am currently looking at the MS X-pipe. Can anyone with the MS x-pipe provide me with some feedback. I want to know hp gains, sound, and overall quality. Thanks

I have a cheap AP copy exhaust that sounded pretty darn good with the stock cats, with the MS x pipe, it turned it into another animal completely. I've had strangers and friends compliment it. I would highly recommend purchasing it. I ran it for two days with oem tune and didn't get a check engine light. I know have an ESS tune. The back fire and burbling are bonuses.

The butt dyno says yes, from some posts on here the biggest restriction is the cats. I also highly recommend an under drive pulley but would do the sw and race pipe first.

I had macht schnell test pipes and loved them. Great sound and power.

From info posted by vendors I would guess 20+. They are definitely much louder.

The Macht Schnell test pipes are going to yield a little less HP due to retaining the secondary cats. Gains are marginally less that an x-pipe though. The nice part about the x-pipe is you don't have to cut up your stock x-pipe, so that helps wehn you want to put the OE back on. Sound wise the x-pipe is going to be louder since it doesnt have secondary cats. With the Akra slip on it does sound quite nice being catless.
Gains for x-pipe I would put around 20whp + Test pipes around 17-20whp

I had both test pipes and their xpipe. It's definitely louder and you get much more pop and burble with the xpipe. Furthermore you don't have to cut up your exhaust. In my opinion it's a better option

I have friends w just the test pipes and it's just a little louder. Oddly enough one of the nicest systems I've heard is an xpipe system with a stock exhaust.

Thank you Kevin, I saw that video and it seems ok but the drone is my principal concern so I want a customer review before to order one

I've got it on stock rear, zero drone. Only difference is when you get on the gas it is noticeably louder. If you're not on about >50% throttle, it sounds stock. But even on throttle, it does not drone, only becomes a little raspy. |
