Can't decide between SO and AW

I'm having a tough time finalizing my color choice for exterior.

I have had a red e92 and had it plasti-dipped white and really liked it so I'm super torn

my choices are SO and AW.

Anything that helped you guys decide on either? For some reason I just can't make up my mind!

Between those, and given that you loved your red, I'd go with the M-unique SO.

Change your mind and go with SSII exterior. End of problem.

Look at the survey, there are more white ones (AW and MW) than anything else.

Stand out and get the SO.

You plasti-dipped the whole car?!

I'd vote for SO as well; especially on the M3 (vs M4). SS or Black interior would look best IMO, if you haven't already decided.

AW is free

jokes aside, I wanted AW since I got the sedan, and I purposely wanted the white to blend in and not attract attention of non car people. I like SO, AY and YMB but don't want the attention it will attract

Carl put it correctly. I chose SO specifically because of the M specific color. You really cant go wrong with any color offered, but of all the big decisions I had to make (color, transmission, options, etc) the color is the one Im most happy with. It looks red in some situations and orange/yellow in others. Its a great color.

I agree with blending in but with CF roof, quad exhaust and power domes it's not that easy.

AW or MW and SS are my favorites on the F80. F82 deserves some color

yea, maybe that's a pipe dream. I keep telling everyone I got a "basic family car" (cloth seats, no moonroof, automatic) but once they see pics of the order no one buys that description

I'm biased - do SO.

But first, check out local dealers' inventory and go see the colors in sheet metal with your own eyes. That's what sold me on the SO.

I did also see AW in person, and was surprised how good it looked. Then during the second visit I saw the AW car after it hasn't seen a car wash in a week - got flashbacks of trying to keep a black car clean = impossible to do, and impossible not to notice that you are not doing it

I would go with mineral white over alpine. I have both before and I love mineral.

Get the SO it's really nice! There's too many white BMW.

Go with SO and SO Full Leather. You won't regret it. I did and I LOVE it. I have the moonroof and often use it.

Ignore this obvious troll post. Orange on orange and a moonroof... on a coupe? This person is clearly unhinged.

+1 for AW.

Sporty without being too obvious and it'll be a change from what you had.

Are you bold and aggressive or a conformist and a bit reserved? That might answer your question.

I have SO with Sonoma Beige. It works so well together (the rendering on BMWUSA does it no justice!). The right answer is personal, so for me, it came down to the fact that white didn't feel bold enough for this car. I saw So on an M6 at my local dealership and was sold.
Take care!

The SO, YMB, and AY are amazing colors. But I'd get bored of them in 6 months, if that. So if u plan on keeping the car for any extended period of time, I'd consider a more 'basic' color. I never regret the white
