Those fenders appear to be even more extremely flared. Timing for seeing competition pack mules starting to run about seems right but would fender changes be included in the CP? That would be unprecedented. So...F80 M3 GTS, sans wing, being tested in the US? Kidding.

If that's in Cali it's most likely BMW's test F80 it looks very similar to the one I see almost every other day.

ill have to keep my eyes out. there is a coffee shop in my little town that all the mules go for coffee in the afternoon. Ill have to see what new is being tested.

I'm not sure why, but I don't see it as often as I used to. Maybe because I was looking for it more often before

So what you are saying is that this is an old mule that hasn't been destroyed yet? Maybe it's camoed to hide the parts that ended up looking slightly different in production? The flares do look bigger but maybe not.

The one that I see is still Camo'd out and it looks like they're just continuing testing. At one point I watched them go into a carwash about 3 times straight while I was pumping gas.

If that's a vent on the rear fender then I haven't seen that car..

The vent is the rear doors for the caterpillar silent propulsion system from the Red October. Hence the camo, very top secret hush hush.
