Joining the group
Hi all,
Yesterday I traded in my beloved 08 e60 M5 for an Austin Yellow M4. Wasn't my first choice of colors, but it got me over the one hurdle that I had to clear - my wife LOVES it!

Welcome. This is not a bad group to be in. BTW great job with the parking. Now stop using your indicators and you'll blend in perfectly to Washington crowd.

Yeah, Killer-Bimmer was really helpful. He was my 'lifeline" - at home on the computer while I worked the deal. He really wanted me to get the CF roof and to shop around a little. When I sent him the first pick of Austin Yellow he was like, "No No No!"
In the end having my wife excited mattered a lot. Especially she said that when the lease is up, she'll take it and then I can go get what I want. I shook on that deal without hesitation! I am looking forward to getting to know you all. Oh, and the salesman parkedit there so I could unload some stuff from the trunk of my M5. It's the black one meticulously parked next to it WITHIN the lines.

We as said have a really good crew here and share great tips about how to modify your car without getting caught home. We also stand around while looking at cars that look exactly like the car we own and nobody points out that is a very stupid way to spend a morning. Now that you're back in the boy racer models, you too can stop parking correctly. In this Prius district nobody will even notice.

Congrats again man and if I could only share the text that Lups got to experience last night. If I did I would surly be banned for life...
My garage is still recovering from having an AY in it... But will admit that it looks much better in person, no matter the picture it is just not a photogenic color... And yes I'm going to be the old man holding on to my NA gasalcoholic... You might be newer you my have more style but when we're rolling through the I-90 tunnel at 8,200 no one will care😉 Now break the damn thing in so we can ensure you need new tires before summer is here... Cheers |

I picked it up and BMW Bellevue. I got my e60 M5 there from Mike T and have been happy with the deals and treated very well in service. I am loyal that way and so far they have done right by me.
I will break it in. I'm spending a lot of time sitting in the garage trying to figure out some of the buttons. Which means, I'm not driving. I wonder how few miles I can put on it by August? You see, I'm the kid who had a big box of new crayons and never used them, because they looked cool all sharp and organized. Yes, I would love to meet, sit around and look at everyone's car, even though they're the same. For sure! I will be happy to share my driving impressions between the e60 M5 and F82 M4. Right now though, I'm driving around like Tom Cruise after he picked up the 928 from the dealer.

MarlonF1, looks like a car I tried to talk a friend into. He's a window shopper so I don't think an M4 is in his future. i'll be honest, never really been a fan of yellow (it's cool, just not my first choice. not last either). then Phoenix yellow got a bad rap and it wasn't that great but for some reason, AY, is wow. I got YMB instead because I like blue but the AY is a real eye catcher and not as harsh as a pure yellow or even Dakar.
if there ever is a meetup sometime, maybe with Lups and the others, let me know. I am coming from a 2011 550ix so I think my experience will be, more power but less guteral engine sound, harsher ride, more road noise, but I want to get back into 2 doors. I have had 4 door cars for about 10 years now and I don't have any friends so I don't see a need to have extra doors |
