Saxon's Mineral White m3 build thread

thought I would make a post since I placed in order in March for my new m3! This will be my first new car, I never thought I'd buy new since its typically not the best investment/purchase, but with the lease rates and MF in March I couldn't resist.

The timing was pretty crazy as I had been spying these forums but didn't think I could make it work. Well i jokingly put up a post about parting out my 2011 s4 and with 72 hours I had 90% of the parts sold and a friend told me they wanted my s4 as they had just sold their a4.

So here i am waiting 2 months and driving a beater until my m3 comes in

specs:
m3
alpine white UPDATE- changed come to mineral white
carbon structure seats
carbon trim
carbon roof
HK sound
Adaptive suspension
19" silver wheels (i added these after a lot of thought)

The original build date was supposed to be early April but once the order was placed it changed to first week of May. Has anyone seen this before?

Since i put the deposit on the M i have done nothing but checked the bmw website as well as scoured these forums in search of knowledge.

Looking forward to being back in a bmw, here are some of my past cars

today the car updated to 112 status and finally showed the correct color options on mybmw site

mods so far:
xpel bumper, mirrors, headlights
IND painted sidemarkers
m performance black grille surrounds
M performance lip and splitters (getting shipped now)

I then made sure to get to the dealer 10 minutes before close so i could pick it up, i cant explain how 3-4 months of waiting makes you feel the first time you see your new car

my next day off was detail day, if you notice in the first picture i picked it up without any dealer installed swirl marks and they left all plastics on the car for me to take off.

for the detail I
-spray foamed mtm cannon
-2 bucket washed
-sprayed down with Iron-X to get all the metal contaminants off the paint
-used nanoskin autoscrub to further clean the paint (replaces having to clay bar the car)
-polished using meguiars #7
-cleaned off all oils etc with IPA 50/50 solution
-applied cquartz UK ceramic coating (rather easy to work with)
-topped off with cquartz reload
-cleaned interior
-scotchguarded the carpet and seats
-used 303 for dash and all plastics

installed the grille and sidemarkers

then today i installed 75mm studs (replaces the lug bolts), cleaned the wheels and installed 12mm spacers

my first purchase for the m3 was detailing supplies, and i also have some black grille surrounds on the way

that picture is actually Blue Marsh Lake in Reading Pa. I Visit Hazleton often as one of my favorite sushi restaurants is there
