Picked up my M4 friday! Amazing

Hi All,

Thought I would introduce myself, I picked up my M4, DCT, Mineral White on Friday from a Peter Vardy Edinburgh. I live in Bristol so I flew up on the morning and drove back 6 1/2 hours, let's just say I wasn't worried about the long drive as I had a smile from ear to ear the whole way home! I am so impressed with the car, it's truly fantastic. Already planning on getting the front splitter + black grills but I'm in no rush just yet. I also would like to add the spacers to give it the more aggressive look, is there any recommendation on the spacer make?

I will get some photos today as its glorious weather!

Thanks and speak to you all soon no doubt!

Dan

Fingers crossed they should be attached, I will get some better pics soon!

Congratulations. Can't wait to see it. I've had mine for 2 weeks Friday and still look for excuses to take it out. Enjoy.

Congrats , use her in good health and don't forget to post some pictures.

When it comes to spacers I am using H&R on both M5 and M4 - everything works fine. They are made in Europe so expect some quick delivery too.

Welcome and congrats. For spacers, you can go 12mm front and 10mm rear. You can't go wrong with Macht Schnell or Burger Tuning. Might as well convert the wheel bolt to wheel studs in the process, as it's difficult to find extended wheel locks in black. Only use spacers if lowered, it looks odd when it's not IMO. If you do plan to lower it, do it right the first time = Use K&W V3 or CS / TC Kline / JRZ (full coilovers). Otherwise you will regret it later and having to pay someone again to do the work.

For the black grill, you can use iND grill surround and gills. For now, just enjoy the car in stock form until at least 1200 miles (first scheduled maintenance).

Hi all, the car wasn't brand new it's a 14 plate with 3000 miles on the clock, well it's close to 4000 now after this weekend, GarryF im not sure what AUC means? But it was the one with a few toys on it. It was a good deal, the servicing pack appealed to me and it was fairly priced so the distance was worth it. How would the car look strange with spacers and not lowering? I didn't want to lower the car as I didn't want it affecting the warranty, I think the spacers you could probably get away with. Great weather today, I should be able to get it to grip better! Lol

I was thinking about a re map but are they traceable? I didn't want it to void the warranty? IPE exhaust could be on the cards but then again it's all warranty related questions, if anything were to happen would it be void?

Gotta be careful with messing with the programming, depending on the dealership and even the tech working on it they can void the warranty or just not care. It's safer to keep changes to mechanical until after the warranty ends then tune. Adding exhaust, intake, lowering springs/coil-overs, anything else mechanical won't void the warranty.

Congrats on the pick up!

We recommend either H&R or Macht Schnell spacers in 15/12 or 15 all around

Did you get alot better deal from Dealer in Edinburgh rather than your local dealer ???? I have read about owners coming up to Scotland to purchase M cars as they are getting alot better deals than down south

For the spec and and miles it was about 3k cheaper than others on the market at the time, also like I mentioned earlier it had the servicing pack and it was mineral white with the HK upgraded system. Also I thought the drive home would be fun! Lol
