Nice and predictable
M5 (BMS) power to weight ratio : 700/4400 = 0.159
GT3 power to weight ratio : 475/3200 = 0.148

Tbh, what is the point of videos like this?

If performance is the factor here, then I would go for the Porsche.

I'm a stock/factory/OEM kind of guy so things like aftermarket/modding and 3rd party aren't my preference....

The videos are for those of us that do enjoy modding. I like to know how my modded M5 performs relative to other high performance cars.

Not very impressive for a 700 bhp car. I was under the impression that a stock F10 M5 would beat the 991 GT3. Looks like it wouldn't have beaten it without mods...

I would prefer to prefer see a stock vs stock video

Because imho that's a more credible way to compare the performance of two different vehicles

Very interesting.. I was expecting the gap to be muchhh bigger. Not as big as I thought and the GT3 does an amazing job sticking to the M5 probably until 100 mph.

From a credible performance comparison perspective, afternarket vs stock DOES NOT mean anything or is not an indicator of which car performs. In short, apples vs oranges.

Better to pit stock M5 CP vs stock 991 GT3........because that is a more credible indicator of comparative performance. Only then will we see which is the better vehicle.

The 991 GT3 is a much better car . It's acceleration is impressive but its the handling and driver involvement that are on a whole another level .

The car that wins the race actually has better performance when it comes down to it...simple analysis of that situation..

By the time the M5 arrives in the U.S. There is no M drivers package and the car is limited to 155.. The euro version is limited to 199mph..when it comes down to it you are saying you want to compare a car that has been limited and made more "safe" to the other car.. please..do me a favor and think about that..

Agreed. I'd much rather have a 991 GT3 than an M5. That is unless I need to transport 4 people comfortably while getting my butt cooled and massaged at the same time.

I don't need my ass rubbed or 4 people in the car so I'm on the list for a 991.2 GT3 to replace my M6 next year lol .

Which again makes it a pointless comparison. Apples and oranges.

The BMW M5 featured in that video used power upgrades from a third-party firm outside of BMW. That's like saying that athletes who use steroids are superior than those who only use natural methods and hard-earned skill.

Your point is moot

Stock for stock is the only legit comparison

Lets be honest the only true "apples vs apples" comparo is the same model car vs its twin.... on the street.

I know which car I would rather have all day (check my sig LOL).

This is a silly argument chief..
I'll take the modded M5 anyway.. Loving the Steroids.

Fair enough

But like many others here would say, the more impressive car here is the 991 GT3 (not the *artificially* modded M5).

Stock and natural IS BEST
