2015 Z06 Lz3

Ladies and Gents,

Today is an emotional day for me. I pick up a Pearl White Z06 3LZ with manual this afternoon and I can said this car worth every cent. I was fortunate to pick this one up at MSRP at Serveco Chevrolet, Waipahu, Hawaii. It is the 2nd Z06 that arrived on the island so far and it is the first Z06 LZ3 on the Island, just fresh of the boat during Memorial weekend. I pick this up at MSRP and here is my initial impression:

Power: this car have some serious power. feels much faster than BMS 14 M6, much faster than the 14 Carrera S, the power actually scare me.

Sounds: The exhaust on track and sport mode is very loud, much louder than Porsche performance exhaust and the rumble V8 sounds just as good, the PSE sounds more refine but not as loud, this is louder than the Jag F type for sure.

Suspension: it feels tight just like the C2S if not tighter and handle better. I took a slalom going downhill today; for reference: 42MPH with M6, 51MPH with C2S, and this, a whooping 59MPH and I feels like I still have room for some more. Magnetic ride comfort is comparable to M6 in soft mode and as hard as GT3 in track mode.

Electronic: much better electronic and modern with many function than M6 and P-car. However, it does not feels luxury like M6 and P.

Overall: I feels like if the M6, the P, and the GTR got together have a gang bang threesome, it will result in this Z06 GTR thrusting power, Porsche-like handling, and M6 comfort in cruising mode.

As for the bike, driving a fast car is one thing but riding a fast bike is a whole different level. "Driving a car is like watching a movie, riding a bike is like you are in it."

Really nice write up bud, enjoy it! I found the amenities the car provided quite good from the C7 I drove compared to the c6 lineup. I think the difference is the detached feeling some of the german cars provide, so it can give the appearance of scarier power.

Let us know how you feel in about 5 months (thats how long I kept my White/Red C7 Z51 3LT 7MT w/ mag suspension). I did have the same initial impressions as you. Although I only had 460 hp, I always felt scared of flooring it as well. The sound was awesome and the amenities it came with were also excellent. However, for some unknown reason I really never fell in love with the car as I do the M's and GTR I have owned. It is actually a little vague in my memory now.

Nice dude! I remember your write up on the P-Car.

Yes I have seen and heard many C7 Z06's over the past couple of months in person. They are great looking, great sounding, and great performance cars for sure. I seriously considered one in my future, but in the end, I just couldn't live without some of the technology and luxury that BMW's and Porsche's offer. Like ventilated seats, the iDrive system, soft close doors, butt massagers, etc..

I have a buddy who already did an exhaust mod on his new Z06 and I was surprised at how loud it really is. Yes much louder than the Jag F-Type R for sure. It really does sound very good too! Definitely a race car for the street and the track. Enjoy it!

Nope. What Chevy car vent seats? I truly don't know. At least the Z06 has a HUD though.

My GMC Denali (well it is a truck) has vented seats. Actually work better than my M5's.

It does. They are cooled or vented. One of them. Ask Bernie or Toto.

I can attest that this car have ventilated seat and it work better than the M5 and M6 that I have own. I actually feels the cool breeze on the seat where as I think the M5 and M6 vent seat are broken.

I drove the C7 when it was initially came out and I didn't buy it over the M6. I bought the Porsche C2S over the M6 and now this Z06 over the Porsche. I feels that BMW, while it have decent power, handling, and great amenities, it didn't give me the over the edge feeling even while doing triple digits. The P on the other hand, give me that "edge feelings" but lack of powers, unless I can shit out 190K for 991TTS. This Z06 fill in the void that both car lacks. I never think I would get an American super car but you got to drive to believe, it is not the best car out there but it is the best car for the money, a poor man (me) 650S/458, IMO lol. not to mention I can drop the top and it become a Targa.

Hey champ,

Does it pull stronger than the M5/M6 on a roll from 70-14X? No games. Straight answer.
