Alcantara Steering wheel feedback needed
I'm almost ready to pull the trigger over an M Performance Alcantara Steering Wheel, just wanted to get some feedback (positive or negative) from actual users, pros and cons?
In my case, I love the feel and the look of it. Thanks in advance, this is the one

I haven't used this one, but had an Alcantara wheel in my 330i ZHP and loved it. When I got my E46 M3, I really missed the wheel for awhile. It is not hard to keep clean and looking nice like some people claim.

The Alcantara feels great and provides ample grip. I just love how the E9x M performance wheel had a flat bottom, which I love. The F8x M performance does not come with a flat bottom so I'm not as enthusiastic about it. But anyway, it is a nice upgrade.

Feels great and looks great! You will lose the heating option but to me was worth it!

I know I will get a lot of heat for this but here is my honest opinion...
it looks kind of cheap in person... don't get me wrong it feels great but I feel like the standard M steering wheel is not so bad to the point that I would consider changing it, it actually feels fine, looks modern and flows with the car compared to the Alcantara. |

Installed the Performance Steering wheel with electronic display on a customer's M4, the feeling of new Alcantara is simply awesome.

yes it does, you just need to transfer the module over when you do the install.
The Electric M Performance wheel is one of my favorite mods. Its actually a little bit thicker than the stock wheel and I highly recommend the electric version with the shift indicator lights.

I went with the electronic one. It was a bit less than 900 for the regular perf wheel and under 1400 hundred for the electronic one. The extra 500 was ok for me and gave me a bit more eye candy.
I still don't know how to use it, I just use it for shift lights. |

I worry about getting one as admittedly my hands get pretty sweaty. I completely destroyed a leather wheel in my old Jeep before I learned about how to properly clean and care. |

I went with the one from Nexon Motors as you can 'customize' the wheel to your liking.

Dct with hud, my grievance with the electronic steering wheel is that the plastic and display are where I normally hold the wheel, the non electronic also looks cleaner

Makes sense. I'm a 10 & 2 guy. I also have a 6MT without HUD. The shift lights on the require me to take my eyes off of the road for longer than I'd like, so I'm going to try the electronic wheel. I appreciate the feedback

I think the electronic one fit best if you don't have HUD, if you do have it, the electronic one +HUD is too much distracting elements in front of your eyes IMO
