Blemish on blacked out m3 badge from IND

I just recently got the blacked out m3 badge from IND and if you notice on the pic below the baby blue part has a blob of black paint and the red corner is painted on very sloppy.

I reached out to IND and they put it to my attention that all of their badges are like this. Anyone who has this could you chime in on your quality?

Mine is sort of the same. I didnt get a super super close look at it. However when i first got it, I saw the cut lines to be not quite perfect.

More or less along what the right edge of yours looks like. At the end of the day, I prefer the black to the chrome, and from more than a foot and a half away, you can never tell. So I just didnt say anything.

These photos were not the ones that was sent to us and what was mentioned was the runoff of the line that is on the badge decal, of course this may have been miscommunication via email.

We stated that these are done by hand which will never have a perfect paint line due to the limited space for masking around the decal.

The blob of paint should not be there however, for that reason we will send out a replacement to you. We were unaware the blob of paint was present in the email that was sent to us.

People complain about how expensive IND is and I don't mind paying a premium if it shows with the quality.

If you looked carefully you could definitely tell this isn't perfect

You are correct and I had overlooked it when viewing it. Those who dealt with us in the past know we will exchange them if there are any defects present. This was an error on my part.

Your company has a great reputation for customer service and read post about you exchanging with no questions asked. Hence why I was confused at first but I am glad this is all resolved and I do appreciate it.

Agreed, he's sending me another right now, it was probably a miscommunication via email, where I didn't point the blob and he didn't look carefully.

Awful quality. They are just stock parts painted in black then sold at a premium. I bought new badges from bmw and had a paint shop spray them black for a can of drink. Lol

how did it come out? Seems like the baby blue, blue and red part is hard to mask off.

Mine is good. If you look close enough you can tell it was hand painted, but I've seen some knock off ones and I'd much rather go with the OEM part.

Yours looks real good, difference between ours was the blob but IND is sending me a new one free of charge and letting me keep the old one. Will post when I receive mine.
