US market is a really warped situation with prospective buyers having to bend over backwards just to be allowed to buy the damn car. I walked unannounced to our Ferrari dealership and got an allocation for my Speciale. It's my first exotic by the way with none of that having to buy an older car to establish a relationship crap.

Sergio intends to fix this. That's why Luca left/was let go/fired. Big boss wants more volume and Luca wanted the same (less).

Yeah they talk about protecting owners by keeping production down, but does it really? Market Value wise, I guess it does work, since if you go shopping for a used F430 it'll cost you the same as a brand new M6 Coupe fully loaded.

I will admit it is kind of a weird video. Something is missing. Felt like he was being too serious. Maybe separately May, Clarkson, and Hammond can't work, but together they're the greatest thing ever?

I went to Boardwalk in Plano, there are lot's of used 458s available for sale. There are quite a few California models but none I really like and the one 2015 he had for sale was asking over MSRP. He said if you can get an allocation for the 488 you will wait a year to get it and you better have 458 to trade for it or you won't get the allocation. If you want one sooner you could pay $100k over msrp and probably get one. He says his dealership is allocated 86 new cars of all models for the year. He knows who is turning cars in this year. He told me wrt California T that they will be getting 15 of those and he expects about 10 more to be coming so that he is going to see 10 used California owners trading up for the T. That is where his used inventory will come from he told me.

Not sure I really want to play Ferrari's game even if I could afford to.
