New Alfa Romeo 4-Door Sports Sedan announced. The Giulia with 510PS.

Looks great and I know it's going to sound so good! It's basically got a Ferrari engine in it.

To sum it up, it includes:

- 510PS
- Dual Clutch Transmission
- Torque Vectoring Diff
- Carbon Fiber Drive Shaft, Roof, and Hood
- Carbon Ceramic Brakes
- Aluminum V6 engine block that is going to sound like a Ferrari.
- Interior Design elements inspired from Formula 1
- Perfect 50/50 Weight Distribution
- Curb weight could be as low as 3,373lbs. Much lower than the KING, F80 M3.
- Will be sold in the USA!

Just read about this car earlier today as well.

All I could say is DAMN! This might outrun the the m5 and e63 in the track.

Hmm rims are nice on the white one, like it has BBS FI look-alike rims... White Guilia for me please.

I'm an Alfa fan and can appreciate the design cues on the front but it looks as though they lost all creativity from the doors back.

Specs are great. But the car is damn ugly. And it will have the notorious Chrysler electronics.

Not interested.

Yeah the looks are sure different. Definitely looks like an Italian car though. Overall though, I feel like the wolrd needs more true Italian Sports Sedans. The Ghibli was kind of a let down besides the exhaust note.

Speaking of Maserati Ghibli (M157), does the Alfa Romeo Giulia use the same engine? The power outputs of this new Alfa are greater than the V6 turbo in the Maserati.

So same turbo V6? Or different engine configuration?

It's an Alfa. Nothing will ever work in the car. Save your money. Rent it for a weekend and be done with it.

Back looks TLX / Q50 inspired which is not a complement. Dynamically probably great. Ergonomically definitely horrible.

My experience is I always want a car that drives equal to or better than its looks... In this case there will be no issues there.

That's a good philosophy Vic.

My own personal philosophy is that I want to drive a car that sounds good. Looks are second for me and then everything else. I can't say whether or not the new Giulia looks like a great car, as I have yet to see one in person, but already judging by the video, I can tell it's going to be a fantastic sounding car, even from the factory. Italian cars have always sparked a desire to drive based on their exhaust note alone. So much emotion. Even the Fiat Abarth was sometimes more enjoyable to drive than a faster car because it just sounded so very good. For me it's all about emotion that comes from the sound. The thrill of torque and acceleration and 1.15g turns are all secondary for me, but that's just me. I will probably test drive the Giulia in the future, if nothing else but for just the fun of it.

It's not 0-60 mph. It's 0-100km/h in 3.9 second. Probably 0-60 mph in 3.7 second and it can be right due to 50/50 weight distribution and light weight causing traction issue... Furthermore, we don't know anything about torque and suspension yet
Many people think a light car with high power must be fast but it's not always truth. The most important things are torque and weight distribution... if this car can truly goes 0-60 in 3.7 second then it has traction issue unless the torque is low...

It's far from a Ferrari engine. If this uses the same TT V6 as the Ghibli, they absolutely do not sound like Ferraris (at least the V8s). They are raspy and loud, but not that appealing imo. Still excited to see how this car performs

Good thing there's more competition in the M3 space. Opinion on appearance is subjective but to me, this looks feminine. Sounds wild though which is always great. But then Alfa don't have a service network in NA, so, maybe more targeted at EU then. Props to them for trying to take on the M3. So many have tried before but in its segment, very hard to succeed against the M3.

Alfa says they are planning on increasing their dealer network in the United States by about 80%. I think the Guilia will be a big hit here in America, especially if they price it right.

Oh that'll be nice then. I'm also excited about Jag's M3 fighter when it comes in the Type-R guise.
