My Sakhir Orange M4

Hello - I'm new to the forums. I thought I'd share a picture of my M4. I have to say, the hardest decision was the colour because the dealers didn't have any examples of Sakhir Orange but I equally wanted something unique.

I took a risk with the colour but once I picked up the car, I knew I'd made the right decision.

Awesome color! I wanted to get it but settled for less screaming color MG. SO is really special and its unique to the M.

I really love mine!!

I did see an M4 at my dealer last July with the SO full leather interior, and then I ordered mine a couple of weeks later. I got delivery last November. Had I not seen one first, I would have probably ordered AW or maybe MW with the SB interior. Every time I look at my car, I'm glad I got what I did.

It's definitely not "too orange". In fact, I find myself trying to find the right lighting situations in which it can look MORE orange.

However, too orange for you is another thing entirely. All subjective....only you can answer that.

OP's pic shows a heavy red (as do many of my pics), but it *certainly* doesn't always look that way...and that link you post above absolutely is representative of it from time to time.

If you are looking for a true red all the time, SO is not that.

It has a variety of different personalities that come out in different lighting....and not just whether or not it's overcast or direct sunlight...but also based upon surroundings and reflections.

I don't necessarily want a true red all of the time, otherwise I would've paid for Melbourne or Imola Red. I do like the idea of a shifting paint color, but would definitely prefer the red to show more than the orange. I mean if it came through orange like that from time to time I'd be ok with it...but most of the time it'd be too much for me.

Well crap...back to color checking.

it all depends on the light. sometimes it looks more red, sometimes more on the orange side. but it's the perfect combination between the two colors. even in varying light, it's never too red or too orange. it's the perfect color. I love mine

i posted a bunch of pics of mine in sunlight. the orange comes out a bit more in the sunlight and you an see it's still not too orange.

I find the colour very reactive to the light. You'll find it looks red on a bright sunny day and quite browny/orange on a dull day.
