Some random pics of my Frozen Black M4 with M Performance

Hi guys! Just got back from a amazing M European Delivery trip! With 14 other Canadian enthusiasts! There's no words can describe how amazing it was, but I'm sure many threads with great pictures and videos will follow.

Let me just start by posting some random pics I took for my frozen black M4 with SO interior. Hopefully I will have the time to post another thread about the entire trip but these will do for now.

Guess I should point out the options we are having for these "Launch Edition" M3/M4's:

Exterior: Frozen Black
Interior: Sakhir Orange Full

Great spec choices on your car. Just curious does dirty show as much of n frozen black as a standard black paint?

How did you handle all the bugs during the ED road trip? Did you wash them off daily as recommended with frozen paint?

Hi there! Thanks for the kind words.

For the paint, actually it's much easier than I expected. It turns out less maintenance than a glossy one. I learned from someone along the trip that the trick is to do a quick wax right after the delivery (I used Swissvax Opaque) and you can clean the bugs very easily. Use some Dr. Beasley's spray or even water and wipe them off immediately (since the car is still hot) after the spray using microfibre towel. I actually got lazy the last few days so I just did a spray and wipe before the drop off. The bugs were there for few days but everything still came off quite easily.

I am really impressed by the frozen paint. It's an eggshell-like shine so it's not completely matte. It doesn't gather fingerprints like crazy, but hey, it's a black color after all, so you would want to wash it at least once a week depend where you live.

Car looks great! I'm surprised you were able to get M perf parts installed prior to picking it up back here. Didn't know they did that.

It was actually one of 15 "Launch Spec" cars which BMW Canada put together and we all have individual paints and MP parts installed. It took them great efforts to pull this together since coordinating the supplies were very difficult for 15 cars at the same time. They did a tremendous job and I'm sure you will see more threads about this trip very soon.

So a quick wax at the welt or did you pull over some me where and do it? Good to know the bugs can be on the car a couple days before cleaning and be ok (as I suspected).

IMO your can was the coolest of the bunch

Actually I did the wax after we drove about 120KM to our first destination in Austria. Of course it's preferred to do it right at the Welt and I think some did it at the underground parking. Since we were on a set schedule so we couldn't spare the time until first stop. What I did was spray and wipe and then wax. I actually learn it from Mark's M, and he just posted another thread about the trip.
