OnStar and BMW Services

Guys,

I have owned two cts v coupes and now I am probably switching to an M3 at some point.

Can BMW do something for their remote services?

Onstar fired my car up from my iPhone or key fob. It also had a separate telephone in the car really cheap. It felt like the bat mobile right out of a dark knight movie.

The cts v coupe isn't available anymore. Would anyone back me up to have remote start/on star added to future BMW's?

Thanks,

Our BMW Assist is connected to BMW ConnectedDrive. On your smartphone, you can download the BMW Remote App that will only allow you to Lock and Unlock, honk the horn, flash headlights, Ventilate, send destination/GPS coordinates, and "find your car" feature. No remote starting.

Remote Start is more of a GM product/Toyota/Honda/Nissan thing. I wouldn't let THAT hold you back from getting an M3/M4...

Any why do you need to do that?
If you lived in Alaska or Canada and parked the car outside in the winter... then maybe. But in VA ?

OnStar does not, and never did, support personal direct dialing.

You can push a button to call to OnStar rep and ask for directions, help with restaurant reservations, and what not. The same can be achieved by pushing on BMW Assist button. Both are equally useless, if you ask me.

I've also played with BMW assist app exactly twice: to test how long in took for the horn and headlights to sound/flash after I initiated the request via BMW app. It was roughly 45 seconds. Mildly amusing, and totally useless.

Why?
Why are you selling your CTS?
If remote starting a car via an app is so important to you, keep it!
Or get ATS-V, like all non "German-mobile fan boys" are supposed to:
