NLAKIND | 'Mellow Yellow' | F80 AY M3 Build Thread
Hello fellow Bimmerpost members & BMW enthusiast's,
I'm a long time member but haven't been active at all since I got rid of my E90 335i, "M3 HAHA", back in 2009. I also haven't driven a BMW since then, & I couldn't be happier to be back! I went back & fourth between the M3, Cadillac ATS-V, Nissan GT-R, Porsche 911 S or Cayman GT4(if I could get one), but ultimately I had to rule out the Porsche's because I have 2 big dogs who go with me everywhere & they're more important to me than having a Porsche as a DD. I was actually incredibly impressed with the ATS-V & was super interested but Cadillac just kept dicking me around & wouldn't give me an actual date of when I would take delivery if I was to order 1. No patience for that, bye Felecia. As for the GT-R, incredible car, rare, so fast, but I knew I wanted to track a lot & it's just too heavy on a road course for me, if I could afford both I'd have 1 but I can't, so M3 it is. I AM SO HAPPY WITH MY DECISION! This is the best all around car I've ever owned. It's worth every penny. Reference: E90 335i: Pre-Wrap Socal Euro MFest Eurotuner Mag: Let's get to the new BMW. F80 M3 Options: Current Mods: iND Painted front reflectors iND Painted rear reflectors iND Gloss Black Kidney Grilles iND Gloss Black Side Markers

Stock Dyno Baseline w/ video | Stock sound clip:
IMPRESSED! On a Dyno Dynamics, which Dyno notably low, put down a very solid baseline number os 386.7, factor in adding 20% & you're at 464.04whp BONE STOCK. If you only factor in 16% which is what some say, you're still at 448.57whp. As you can see it also held 400+ lbs of torque through 5k RPM's. I really love this car. I'm off to get ER catless DP's as we speak. Will report back with video & updated Dyno #'s ASAP.

Installed the Evolution Racewerks Catless DP's yesterday at ER. I don't think their doing much install work themselves anymore as they're so busy filling orders but Fred/ER did a ton of amazing work on my E90 335i back in 2008. They built me a custom intake manifold, set up meth injection & dp's. It's hard to find somebody to do quality work, who stands behind that work, & you trust immensely with your car, & ER was always good to me & took care of my car.
Like I said, I haven't been active online at all since then, so I was super happy to hear Fred & ER were still around, but not only still around, they've tripled the size of their shop & are still doing incredible in house fab work & making parts that actually give you gains. Healthy gains from what I've read. Will have the dyno comparison later today for you guys. The car definitely feels like it picked up power, did a couple WOT pulls on the way home & it felt amazing, & it sounds GREAT! On the lift ready to go under the knife ER Catless DP's: ER Catless DP's side by side comparison to stock DP's: Stock DP's on the car: ER Catless DP's on the car:

I haven't completely decided yet to be honest. I'm going to see what gains I get today & will post that later & go from there. I'll probably run no tune for a bit & then eventually do the JB4.. Terry was always really good to me with E90..
