JB4 Map 1 vs Map 2 (with downpipes) question
I had catless dp installed yesterday and changed to map 2. However I am not really feeling (according to butt dyno) the extra power that comes with the dp and upgrade to map 2. I double checked to ensure I am using map 2.
For all the users out there do you feel a big difference after dp install and map 2? It used to be that (on map 1) at around 3500 rpm I can feel the turbo surge of power but now it is gone. Is this normal? |

DPs aren't needed. Not even for Map7
You'll need them when you switch to bigger turbos. They add a good amount of power but linear. That's the reason it doesn't feel that extreme to you. Infos about this topic can be found @n54tech |

If it wasn't connected properly I wouldn't be able to hook up a lap top and change to map 2 correct? Also the in car map changing doesn't work. Any idea? On a side note I do feel the car revs faster because it is catless but just doesn't have that surge like on map 1 (at around 3500 rpm) Last edited by E92LNGCGY; 07-29-2015 at 12:09 PM.. |

Post logs with map 1 vs map 2 so we can compare whether car is delivering more power
