M5 vs. modified E55 Amg- vid

Friendly run in mexico w/ this '04 Merc the other night. It has a Eurocharged tune by Benzworks, kleemann headers, straight-piped exhaust (loud), a fabtech performance heat exchanger, crank pulley, 0010 ic pump, plugs and nitto 555dr's. Not sure on the intake or what octane..
I have always liked these with the s/c 8 and 5speed auto- a german muscle car.

First run was very close & barley edged out a W , second run was close but had to let off, third run on 2-3 I spun a bit and couldn't catch him. Quite an Epic match . Once I get used to this new bms power, I will probably adjust the boost up from 2.2 to 3 psi and decide on an exhaust

I love hearing the supercharger whine on that dated machine. I had a 2004 as well and for the time when they came out they were quite amazing and responded to mods well. Good runs.

Yessir- Agreed. I remember listening to vids of your car with that eisenmann exhaust back in the day.

Wow, that was almost 12 years ago (I'm dating myself). It was one of my fave cars ever (based on the car at the time of release of course). I still remember getting it in late 2003 and just being shocked at 516 lb/ft of tq. To this day that number is still highly incredible.

Hah yea it was a while back for sure! They are, esp. when modified, definitely still an impressive car today.

The E55 AMG was one of the best super sedans ever, and perhaps the best of that decade, with the 2003 RS6, 2005 M5, and 2009 CTS-V being the other contenders.

Loved my E55 too one of the best. Sold it for an E60 M5 and was torque deprived for years!

For sure. Back in the day my father had a cls55 amg (essentially the same car) and it was a blast to drive.
