Painted Lip - Being told it can't be done...
I went to my dealer's auto body shop to get an estimate on painting the front lip of the car. Their response was that they tried it before and given the lip's material he has had flaking occur as early as someone driving off of the lot.
For those of you that have painted did you do anything special to prevent flaking/wearing? Need advice. Powdercoating won't work to my understanding but are you truly painting, plasti dipping, etc.? |

I've done it twice. The first time the paint ended up chipping fairly quickly. The second time I had the lip Xpeled a week after we left it in the hot sun to finish curing after painting for a week. Bingo - still looks perfect. Don't think I'd ever paint a lip w/o factoring a film treatment into the equation. But all of the above posts apply.

You can't have the MPerf lip without the CF splitters.
