JB4 F80 M3 vs Bolt on E92 M3 (vids)

Mods on my M3 (YMB F80):
JB4, ER downpipes, running map 7 on an e85 blend. 6mt.

Mods on E92 M3 (camera car):
Competition package, DCT flash, tune, exhaust.

Filmed in mexico. Both cars were full throttle until I hit the limiter and you can see my car braking. 60- ~160.

Was the e92 catless?

I would have loved to see FBO e92 vs stock f80.

Having just switched back to a FBO e92, it certainly feels as fast as my stock f80 but not sure exactly how close it would be

The e92 wasn't catless. I wanted to do a map 0 run but I wasn't sure if the e85 would have worked well with the map. In retrospection I probably should have done it, im sure it would have been fine. Next time!

My friends e92 (in the video) feels as fast as when my car was stock, however, I think the f80 feels smoother but is faster even stock.

Yeah running on a E85 mix is a big deal. Would like to see closer to stock or stock!

stock f80 pulls on a fbo e9x m3 3+cars ; a jb4 f80 vs fbo e9x m3 pulls infinitely.

That's nice speculation but no videos exist out there of catless, tuned e92 v f80 . There is one dinan car which doesn't count.

The e92 would still be down 20-30hp, gobs of torque, and be heavier. I think we all know who would win that race. An e92 needs a supercharger and then its ready to rock.

Btw here is a full catless dinan e92 vs stock f80....

It's not speculation; its personal experience as well as a numbers game. Quick example; 380-400 whp max for an e9x M3 bolt on vs 460-470 pump gas f8x M3... Hard to compare the two power wise until a supercharger is thrown on the e9x.

I don't doubt it's faster stock but I just wanted to see real world video that's all. Dinan fbo isn't really valid tune so that's the only thing with that

a stock f80 m3 will run with a c63. a c63 is much faster than a FBO e92 m3 there is your comparison. Zack F80m and I have ran each other more time then I think either of us can count (all most every time we are out). I ran him stock, I ran him on flash tune, and I have run him on jb4. the f80 is much faster in all areas except up top. Ie if we are all ready in the 90 mph range and hit it its takes a bit longer for the f80 to pull the e90 but i still manages to. Not sure how or why you would need to make this compare when the HP and weight numbers speak for them selves.

Because I'm trying to calibrate button dyno. I've went e92 to f80 to e92 and sometimes what feels fast isn't so that's all. No doubt here f80 pulled much harder

You say this in every single damn thread, how about you put it to rest? And before you call me a jealous E9x M3 owner, know that I'm considering an F80 LCI too. I still don't plan on the E92 after that.

We've always known since day 1 that the M3/4 was going to be the quicker car. Hell even the 1M gave the S65 a run for its money. Still totally not the point as some of us don't care about that.

To call the e9X a "a fatty with no job but she has a sexy voice" is one of the dumbest thing I've read on this subforum. I don't ever remember people going around saying they were more or less idiots for enjoying their E46 when the E9x came out.

To each their own

Sadly I can't watch youtube on my office computers, but I have to assume the F80 stomped on the E92.

I don't think anyone would argue that the F80 is a better car in every technical way. However I think the people who "went back" to the V8 cars did so because they missed something primal about the V8.

So long as those people understand they put themselves at a performance disadvantage, they are free to do whatever they feel is best!

Its still catless which is where the majority of the power is. If anything something like evolve or ess is ~10rwhp more. Like i said in the thread maybe it would lose by a little less but the M4 would still drag it.
