'vert -- wrap roof gloss black?

I've got a YMB F83 on the way... thinking of wrapping the roof (and pillars) gloss black, as well as the mirror caps.... I like CF, but obviously don't have the CF roof, so I felt gloss black against YMB would look good. Wheels are gloss black as well, if that helps.

See attached picture for how it looks on a white vert... there would be better contrast given that I have some color going on vs white.

Just attempting to make it look slightly more aggressive looking... but thinking it'll look either great, or absolutely horrendous. bah.

I know this is just my opinion, but I think it would look better if only the top was wrapped. Wrapping the whole canopy just looks weird to me.

Yep. It's popular on the 458... but lines are different (captain obvious). I'm also not sure. YMB is less contrast to black than white, though.

The good thing is that you can just peel it off if you end up disliking it.

Yep... it's pretty cheap to test it... kind of my thought process anyway.

I agree with the sentiment that it would be too much for A B C pillars and roof. I would suggest doing the roof portion only (no pillars). On the 458 (or more vert Ferraris), it looks great, but I think the F83 is not coupe-ish enough to pull it off well. My 2 cents. Do what you feel you'll like. Good luck!

Thanks!

We can always re-do it after... lol. Probably safer to try it with just the roof first.

Just picked up:

Now debating what to do for the kidney grill.. leaning towards :

Solid mods. Last week I ordered Gloss Blk front and side grills, color matched front reflectors, and black exhaust tips for my F80. Anxiously waiting!!!

Nice... I'm so stuck on spending the extra cash or not for the carbon fiber front and side grills from IND.

I didn't order color matched reflectors yet... debating that. I don't want to spend too much cash at once, so I haven't ordered the Vorsteiner diffuser / exhaust yet.... but plan was to do downpipes/center pipes/axle back and JB4 (unless ESS comes out with an OBDII tune -- don't feel like having my ECU cracked open on a lease.)

I had CF front kidney grills on my E92. They were nice, but that was the only CF i had aside from the roof. If you have the CF splitters and mirror caps, maybe it would be worth spending extra for those front/side grills in CF. Personally, I stuck to gloss black this time around to keep the CF to a minimum. Do what makes you happy
