Talking Vorsteiner GTS-V Lip

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 1,200.00

Or Best Offer

Item Interest
Up for sale is a used vorsteiner gts-v lip. If you check IND or EAS this is a $2000 lip brand new. Im offering it at almost half price since it has some damage. Body shop quoted me at about $200 to fix and paint back costing you a total of $1400 for the look of a brand new vorsteiner gts-v lip. Fitment is 10/10. It molds to the front of the car perfectly. This is one of the most functional lips since it channels the air to the brake calipers.

*SHIPPING NOT INCLUDED*
*PAYPAL FEES NOT INCLUDED*

Thanks to a collaboration with veteran performance brake engineers that were specially brought into for the GTS-V development, the front brake inlets focus was pure form over function and was not intended as a mere design or fashion statement. This was all business. All factors were considered during the development phase including duct opening size, shape, angles and radiusing and how much cool air we could feed into the connecting plenum pipe where a carefully selected 3 inch heat resistant flex tube is used to direct this air with minimal travel and distractions to the back of the front rotors. To also save weight while doing all of this our engineers decided to replace the factory plastic underbelly panel with a new pre-preg carbon kevlar unit that was made as a single piece construction with the front spoiler to further aid airflow to the brakes. -vorsteiner

Im sorry but from reading this post it says 1200 or best offer. I understand that it is 2000 new. The product he is selling is used AND damaged. From experience, unless you are using a cheap body shop to paint that piece, it will cost for sure over 200 to fix.

yes OBO but 500 is low ball even if it 400 to fix it would still equate to 1600 and if you offered 1000 and you pay for shipping i would have let it go which it would only be 1400 at that point which is still cheaper than buying a new lip. I got that quote for 200-300 at the best body shop around my area. Ive been going to them for years

IMHO being that the lip is carbon fiber and a quality a/m lip at that ,it would suggest a top quality repair would be in order. A proper carbon fiber repair i can confidently say would be more like 600ball park area with repair time labor refinishing and materials. I professionally work in aviation/Airframe a proper carbon fiber repair is time intensive and costly. that being said and being second hand i would offer $850 cash pm me if that works for you .If not good luck on the sale

The better question is why is it painted? Were there damages prior to paint? Are you this first owner?
I've been looking for this lip for some time now. In this condition $850 is a fair offer....
