Oil catch cans

Where in Oz sales catch cans for the n54?

Also… I plan to do an oil change.

Place to buy sump plug and oil filter?

Cheers

I installed a fumoto drain valve with a nipple which makes oil changes a breeze!

http://fumoto.com.au/

Basically you hook up a hose to the nipple, stick the hose in your empty oil container and open the valve. When the 5L container is near full, close the valve off and empty the last 1L or so into a 2nd container.

No mess, no stripped oil pan plugs etc and is great for a DIY'er.

This is great, I'm about to do an oil change and think I'll pick one of these up. What is the model number or size of the one you're using?

Jeez I honestly cant remember! It was 3 years or so ago I ordered mine (I had details of what plug I used in my build thread I think)

I remember dealing with the local distributor for fumoto (check their contact details on the website) and he was extremely helpful.

shoot him an email stating what year/model/engine type, type of plug required (conventional or nipple) and he will provide a quote.

By memory the N54 needed a spacer, so you bolt on the spacer then the drain valve. This was required

Fair enough, thanks for the info! At least we know it holds up well!

Yeah you'll need an extension, as the oil pan is recessed where the drain plug is

drjekl great idea man. I'm going to follow in your and Marty's footsteps.

Question, where did you get the extension from? From fumoto or oilvalve.com.au? Or is it something you get from bunnings/supercheapauto? I think its all from fumoto/oilvalve.com.au because you summarized then said with shipping.

Thanks guys!!
