Ohio E-check with aftermarket x-pipe
Anyone in Ohio running an xpipe (HFC or catless)? If so, have you had any issues passing an E-check (even with the CEL alarm coded out)?

Cuyahoga county has a self service E-check program. The great thing about this is there is no one there looking under your car or touching your car for that matter. Just have to pass the OBD2 section of the emissions test. I would talk to a tuner and see if that is feasible with your current setup.

So far AA green filter and AA test pipes. Also got body color side reflectors. Future mods is definitely BPM stage 2 and DCT.

I'm running the Macht Schnell Catless x-pipe w/ the AE performance rear section, Macht Schnell cold air intake, and a few cosmetic mods. I actually ordered the BPM stage 2 tune yesterday and should have it installed by the weekend. It would be cool to meet up sometime, as I really have not found too many M3 owners from Cleveland on the forum. I'm in Chagrin Falls. |

Also, there are a few car meets coming up if your interested. There is one at Mentor High School in about a month (500+ cars last year) and there is a big one in August called Fatmans Invasion at the Thompson drag strip (over 1500 cars last year). Let me know if your interested. I never see any other E9X M3's at these events lol.

I echecked an Acura RSX for 13 years with no issues. I had Hondata and could clear codes. Do the self service and you should have no issues.
If you have a person do it, they do still use mirrors, but I can't believe they can tell if a cat isn't there or o2 sensors. Also, I'd like to hear that Macht Schnell. I just picked up an M3 in June. It came with a FloMaster. Sounds great outside of the car. Unfortunately I'm always inside the car. |

Read it.
I imagine the burble will go away with a tune. I love it as well. Same with the cough between upshifts! Advanced ignition + Lean A/F ration = More Power....no burble.. I want a tune just to get rid of the cold start. Nearly undrivable at low throttle. Wake up the hood every morning! |

Btw, anyone here swapped suspension bits?
I'm looking to go back to stock springs. So if you've upgraded and those stock springs are sitting in the corner of your garage...i'll take'm...as long as they don't have a billion miles on them. |
