Why no thread on the King GTS?

Caught me by surprise this one. Much quicker than I had expected. Going Cup 2 tires is certainly the right move!

A new set of BBS FI-R and color coat the entire wing and it should be quite bearable. I noticed that having the entire wing color coated makes it sticks out less visually.

Needs more Wing if you ask me.

Still pretty ridiculous that it's as fast around the Ring as the 12C.

But I'm sure that the Cup2 tires are responsible for at least 10 of those seconds around the Ring.

Still wouldn't ever buy one though. Not even if I drive on the Nurburgring all the time. Still too boyracer for me. I gotta stick to my roots as a Gentleman Racer. I need my butt massaged as I race through the Carousel.

Oh well, it does have nice seats and fancier tail lights. Those rims and that lip umm might be a bit much for my personal taste. Kudos to //M for continuing to push the boundary on performance though please don't limit the higher perf cars to just 700 units.

They did the same thing and even worse with 30 Jahre M5.
And they always do the same thing with especial cars. Only 135 units of E92 M3 GTS, 67 of E92 M3 CRT, 200 of E92 M3 Lime Rock Park Edition and 500 units of E92/E93 M3 Limited Edition 500 were produced.

I think that BMW mostly does all of these Special Editions to fullfill a desire from the Dealership Franchise owners. All of these Special Editions are produced in far too few numbers to be really profitable for BMW AG Gmbh. Where as the Franchises that sell these cars get to mark them up like crazy and reap a lot of those profits. I'm sure its a big money maker for dealerships that can secure one of these Special Edition cars. Like the 30 Jahr's in some places being marked up to $250,000 here in the U.S that I have seen before. Lime Rocks that sold for $125,000. Although the E92 M3 GTS was never sold here in the states, I think now that the M4 GTS will come here in limited quantity, those things will be marked up to insane prices. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw some dealers asking for over $200,000 for an M4 GTS. In that case, we would be better off buying a used 12C at $160,000. Out of all of the Special Editions though, the M3 CRT was my favorite. I loved the back seats in that thing, I wish they woulda brought it here to the states.
