The Future of the Sports Car

Great recent article from Road and Track.

I have always said that putting turbochargers in everything just to increase efficiency is the wrong thing to do for Sports Cars/Sports Sedans. As much as I like Turbochargers, I am not in love with them. Ferrari and Porsche should have never went Turbo and they know it, but not even they can fight the environmentalists. I have half a mind to start my own car company one day, instead of going all-Electric, I will go all-Purist and build only cars that have manual transmissions and NA engines, but they will all be modern cars. Anyone want to join me? Lol!

The majority of waxers don't like manuals. I'm glad my Z/28 is manual. My first manual since 97 and it's a whole different world.

Forget the environmentalists, in 20-30 years we may not be able to drive our cars on the road at all.

As self-driving technologies improved to a employable option, I can totally see the government will one day step in and say in the effort to eliminate traffic accidents and deaths, no citizens will be allowed to drive on the road except in closed circuits or tracks.
