Squeaking & Creaking
So, maybe because it's getting cold? Anyone with the KW HAS experiencing embarrassing sounds at low speeds?
Maybe it's normal. But if normal is the case, what's the solution? 1) Revert back to stock. 2) Turn radio up. 3) Wait for real coil-overs that work with the EDC? I'm not interested in losing the EDC functions. |

Make sure your end links are tight and lubed. Easy to tes the lubed part. Spray WD40 on the end link top and bottom joints as a (very) temporary test to see if it is the end links introducing the noise. You cna get to them with opposite lock of the wheel while on the ground.
If that works, then use a better lube, like white lithium. |

I know their tight... Torqued while under weight. That worked great for the deeper sounds... Couple months ago. I'll WD40 them this weekend. |

Make sure you periodically check the links. I have KW HAS installed on my M3. They worked perfectly fine for 10 months, 7,000 miles. Then a week or so ago, I started to hear some noise - some pop/thunk noises. Because I read some of these threads saying that KW HAS will make some noise, I didn't bother to check it out right away and assumed it may just be b/c of the colder weather, etc. Fast forward to yesterday, as I was turning into a parking space, the stabilizer arm snapped right at the upper end link!
In any case, it's definitely something you will want to monitor if you continue to hear noises. |

Finally fixed my broken sway bar link. Basically, the drivers side KW HAS spring collar got loose and was rotating on the shock body. This placed too much stress on the sway bar end link and snapped it off. KW will warranty the part and ship you a new spring collar. However, they ship them from Germany so may take a bit of time. That plus I had to pay for a new sway bar end link and additional labor to reinstall the spring collar.
So, again, if you have creaking or popping noises after getting your KW HAS installed, check to make sure everything is properly tightened down. At the end of the day I had to get a new OEM sway bar endlink plus the replacement KW HAS spring collar. After the work was done, there is zero creaking or clunking noises coming from the suspension. |

I have had suspension of theirs on two of my cars, and had issues both times. They may perform well, but they have a reputation of snapping pieces loose or pieces getting deforms from stress.
