Charlotte locals
Hi all - looking to eventually gather some owners in Charlotte but also determining if anybody has good work space/tools to work on the cars. I'm handy with a wrench but living in a townhome doesn't afford me the space to keep any tools / no garage.
I'd like to get some springs installed at some point but for the price being quoted I'd rather take the time to do it myself. |

I'm down to get together at some point. No space but check out dynamic auto. Prices are reasonable and great work. If BMW CCA member get 5% discount

I live down in Ballantyne (address is technically Fort Mill but I'm literally 5 miles from the NC border). I have a house and 2 car garage setup, jack, jack stands, etc. Don't have my F80 yet, but I put a deposit down this week for a June 2016 ED.
I've changed springs on some imports before, can't be too much different. Let me know if you need some help! Shawn |

Thats really high. On a lift you can do the front in about 2 hours and the rear in an hour. Should be 3 be about a 3 hour job + alignment.
Ive got multiple quotes in raleigh under 500 WITH alignment.

I've used Hendrick for the past 7 years but never went with a consistent SA. Do any of you have recommendations?
I've been going to Northlake lately. The last guy I used went to a new role (Mike Traynor) and the guy I got last was ok, but wasn't willing to negotiate (doesn't matter since I'm in warranty now). I've also used Samir (something like that) on Independence. Overall, I'd like someone more mod and track friendly. |

That's crazy!! I'm in the Greensboro area but get down to Charlotte every so often. I installed my Eibach springs myself fairly easily. I'd be glad to help if needed.

I'm doing the eibach springs as well - probably around March after we get through "winter", so we can definitely perfect the install. Heading over to harbor freight this afternoon to pick up a Jack and torque wrench to put on my spacers when they get in. Car gets picked up next Friday from PCD - getting pumped! Sucks I'll have to leave town for two weeks immediately after... |

I will be there the 27th! MasterTech in Hickory is who I use for everything. Haven't done springs yet but they have been cheaper than anyone on everything else I have had done to my previous cars and do really good work.
