Oil Cooler pictures with and without plastic guard
Happy to report that there is nothing wrong Am working on writing up a DIY for the M Performance Lip and Splitter and came across my pictures of the oil cooler. First picture is with the plastic guard and the second is without it It is indeed located in a pretty dicey place
Figured I'd post this for the benefit of those who don't like to get under the car The M Performance lip is hopefully going to provide some added protection

I just got my car back today from having the oil cooler replaced. It was my fault there was damage to it. My husband thinks it's in a horrible place as well.

Some may have missed it but the M Per Lip apart from looking good does indirectly end up providing extra protection for the oil cooler. After going through the laborious DIY I realized how rigidly it is fitted in there. It will absorb a lot of whatever hits it.

Yes, I purposely bought two piece so the rear part can be removed for working under the car. It's a huge plus. They weigh next to nothing. Have had them for 6 years now. Best $220 I ever spent

I bet a local fabrication shop could make a fully custom one for about 1/2 the price -- installed.

I agree a front lip seems like it help can protect, especially if it's poly lip or plastic like the mperf.. ideally it'll take most of the damage and punt away objects big enough to go under and get lodged between ground / oil cooler. I noticed this when I was installing my front lip too.

This is a concern of mine as well. While I love IND products, their product is above my price point.. wonder if someone else will bring something else to market?

Is it just me, or do those ramps look like they are made of foam?
