JB4 M4 vs Stock M5 w/Akra

Found this nice clip.

Finally, a tuned M4 vs a stock M5.

Sounds like M5 is gone in 4th.

So a simple 600 dollar mod ala the JB4 puts the M4 at a close level?

Or you can say this way:
even 40-50 (??) more power yet cannot let KING beats her bigger sister who is 800 lb heavier LOL
Or this way:
S63TU (beside M DCT and M Active differential) is a master piece of engineering

Yeah if you want a play on words LOL.. I do like that a tune on the S63tu will clear the M4 off the street

Do the math:

M4: 3600lb/425hp = 8.47 lb/hp
M5: 4400lb/560hp = 7.86 lb/hp

Tuned M4: 3600lb/500hp = 7.2lb/hp

That M4 probably has around 475hp, yet torque on the M5 helped pull top-end

Avg tuned M5: 4400hp/800lb = 5.5lb/hp.... game over!

With enough mods and some weight loss, it gets closer to 4.5 lb/hp. Once it hits 4-flat nothing is stopping the M5

Your power to weight ratio calculation is correct but you need to consider a most important factor which is "traction". M4 even with 500 HP does not have that traction to be able to keep up unless some expensive suspension job is done... and yes you are right the "torque" is another important factor here that keeps M4 behind although M4 has a 10% shorter axle ratio (3.46 vs 3.15)
