BMW M760Li xDrive = the "true" G12 performance flagship variant

Finally it's here.

Still I have no idea why that "M Badge" is there!
Why should a 100% luxury car this big ( over 5 meter length) and this heavy (over 5000 lb) is carrying M?

Also OP how do you say it's faster than B7? you probably know that Alpina has an engine with the same power and torque installed on B6 and probably in future on new B7 right?

I would never consider a full size Bimmer--- just doesn't seem to impress me. If I went full size it would an S63, S8+, or a Wraith hahaha.

These cars are only worth it if you have a driver. It's a limo, it's not a drivers car.

Hehe yup

Also, a V12 engine is a rarity in the automotive world these days.....so I give props to BMW Group for keeping it alive at least for a little longer.

Imho
V12 engine = bad @$$ =)

I doubt the 7 will be over 5,000 pounds. The new 750 with X drive weights 4600 and adding two cylinders won't increase the weight that much.

All the BMW's are porky pigs. That includes your M6 and my M5.

It seems you're right.

The official BMW spec sheet says:

2,180 kilograms (DIN measurement method)
or
2,255 kilograms (EU measurement method)

In lbs, that amounts to 4,807 lbs (DIN) up to 4,972 lbs (EU)

Still under 5,000 lbs

The base M760 weighs 2255 kg (4961 lb) as European spec with 75kg (driver + cargo) and 90% fuel and you know US spec is always 100-200 lb heavier due to some packages are installed for US market so basically it's over 5000 lb which is much heavier than my 42xx lb M6 or your 43xx lb M5...
and it's not about the weight of 2 cylinders (actually 4 cylinders). comparing to 750 with 450 hp this car has 150 more power (and torque); so basically has different suspension, brake and probably different differential and transmission. ... I'm sure there are many other factors and components to make that +400lb difference.
You can find the spec here:

Also Alpina B7 is reporting a 0-60 time of 3.7 and a top speed of 194mph which I think makes it faster than the M760.

This one looks better than the Alpina in my opinion, unless you like a large front lip spoiler.

Correct and even more. It's rated to 3.7 second 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) and top speed of 310 km/h here probably because B7 is reported 70kg lighter; however we never know if this M760 is underrated the same way M5/M6 are reported (by BMW) 0-60 in 4.1 second while it's proven 3.7 second by many people.

I agree with you in that the M760Li is a better looking vehicle.

The Alpina B7 looks more like an aftermarket modification with more bling.

That and those Alpina wheels looks disgusting

I know the block is heavy, but let's put that TT V12 in the next M5 and have M Division crank up the redline to 8,500rpm. A guy can dream can't he?!
