REVIEW l MRG Race Co 82MM Titanium Forged Race Stud Kit

I managed to get my hands on a 82MM MRG Titanium Stud Kit with extended nuts. This is second stud kit, first being an aluminum (wont mention the brand) which didnt work out too well. Had numerous occasions where it the stud ended seizing due to rust. Thankfully, this wont be an issue with the Ti. It's only right to run a titanium forged kit with forged wheels right? :

Chad from MRG maintained great communication and excellent service throughout the process. They arrived in a box outfitted to the whole kit, great design and presentation. I was worried that they kit would stick out more than my previous 75mm kit, but Chad assured me the longer studs would offer a better look and boy was he right about that! The pieces look well produced and engineered and made of great quality. MRG etching on every nut and stud, its all in the details!

Install is a breeze, I could have done it myself but I had to bring the car in for mounting my new wheels. It only seemed right to have them install. It completes the look of the wheels, look extremely high end and as it should've came from factory.

This is the only titanium race stud kit available for our platform. I love the fact that it is 14mm x 1.25mm on the rotor end and converto to 1.5mm on the nut end. This allows for more options for extended nuts if you desire to run something else. My wheels never looked better! The added weight savings is a bonus too! I switch wheels often so a stud kit is more practical. When I switch back to stock and have the need to run spacers I can easily run a 15mm spacer without worrying about extended bolts.

Excuse the iphone pics:

Wow!!! Looks great. I'm looking 14mm x 1.25mm on the rotor end and convert to 1.5mm on the nut end. Where did you order it from? Please help. Thank.

We have tried to put several requests out to the forum admins to try and get the group buy set up. As of yet there has been no reply from anyone on Bimmerpost at least 6 emails later.

It has never been so hard to get someone to take my money...

I know some have bought this one on Amazon.

There are probably other options too if this doesn't suit your taste.

Pointless to have locks. Since they can just back out the whole stud.

Thanks for this. Found another set in the tuner style that will match nicely with the MRG set.

I think I ordered the last set of locking kit above. I'll post pics next to the extended nuts once it gets here.

Nice. Yeah, post pics. I'm definitely interested in those locks. Did you get the silver finish, chrome, or titanium chrome color?

They have an assortment of colors. The titanium chrome looks a bit "off" in the product photos (after all, they're not real titanium). But I'm curious to see how they look compared to the MRG studs.
