Single Turbo Options
Sick of stock turbos rattling and hybrid turbos leaking. Been really thinking about doing a custom single turbo build. Hopefully Steed Speed will come out with their manifold soon for around $1000.
Now my goals are around 600whp with 94 octane and meth. No E85 where I live and not planning to do PI anytime soon. Just want something better than my hybrid twins and more reliable. Still doing research on the different types of turbos but i'm not sure which is the best option for my goals and/or engine. Been hearing great things about precision 6466 but would that be too much for what my goals/setup are? What do you guys recommend considering price and power in mind? |

same goal. Ive been following the outcome of lens manifold now for way too long. Doc Racing is a great option now. They're having a discount for the first 20 to jump on.
What hybrids did you get? I was considering just going hex on, heard good things. |

You are looking at a really big top mounted turbo to get 600whp. Are you total fixed on the figure of 600hp? Are you planning to install a suitable cooling system for 600hp?

I am running 510whp on 92 oct pump gas with my single.
Super simple 20psi and pump only should be reliable for years to come. Once you go ST you won't go back. Hybrids have their appeal but when a single comes online its just too much fun!

I work for Turbonetics and we have a new series of turbos that would match up perfectly for our displacement, depending on your realistic power goals. Feel free to email me if you would like to, rawakim@wabtec.com.

Options right now are either jpworks manifold and the upcoming steed speed one. The doc racing ones a bit too much for $2K Quote:

I believe it is the same, JP Works advertises it fits both n54 and n55
