Tire help ZE40 lowered on Ohlins

So for the upcoming track season I just purchased Ohlin coilovers with Vorshlag camber plates. Purchased Volk ZE40 in 18x9.5+20 and 18x10.5+20.

I'm wanting to run AD08R and I've researched and it seems people are running a wide array of setups.

I'm looking at 265/35/18 front and 295/30/18 rear. Does that look good?

I don't see why they won't fit. Should be good to go.

You will rub with the 295 rear for sure. I would do a 275/35/18 front and a 285/35/18 rear.

A 295/30/18 would be almost a inch and a half shorter than the stock tire size.

oh shitballs, for some reason I read that as 19" LOL

But for the sake of sizing, wouldn't 1.5" shorter in total diameter (not to mention some camber adjustment) help with some of the rubbing?

Being 1.5" shorter would help, but you would not want to run it because it is too short. If he had the et +30 rear wheel that Volk now offers, he could run a 295/35/18, no problem.

Ah gotcha. The new offset is on an 11" wide wheel, though, isn't it?

That's where I'm confused. I see people running 35 on the rears and some people running 30 in the rear.

Yes sir it is a 11" inch wheel, but is perfectly fine with a 295 series tire. Basically the least offset you want to run with a 295 is a et+25. Also a Advan Ad08r runs wider than say a Michelin PSS.

Usually the 35 is a 18" and the 30 is a 19".

It's more of a ratio than it is a set, pre determined size. The middle number is the height of the sidewall as a percentage of the first number e.g. 255/40/18 is 102mm (255 x .40) in sidewall height - give or take depending on the model's sidewall construction.
