Loud exhaust setup in BC?
Hi, canadian members!
I'm planning on visiting Vancouver, BC from Seattle, WA for a couple days. My concern is my exhaust setup is really really really loud like a hell. It's Meisterschaft Super GT with IPE F1 x-pipe. I don't want to get into any trouble and hassles with cops and tickets. Anyone had trouble with your loud catless exhaust setup? I also heard cops pull you over with window tint. Would I get into any trouble? Anything I should be aware and concern in Vancouver area? (such as speed traps and radar dectector bands. I have the escort 9500ix hardwired with blendmount under the rear view mirror) Need your help guys!! Thanks! |

You'll be fine with the exhaust and tint, cops cant give you a ticket for a non-bc registered car. Oh, there is 94oct at Chevron's, but I find that shells v-power makes the car happier and is more fuel efficient. Just don't be redlining every gear and you'll be fine.

They can issue your moving violations such as speeding, but not tint or exhaust noise fines.

Yup, no need to worry about VI for noise and mods. They can and will catch you for speeding and traffic violations though (even though they probably can't collect on you if you decide not to pay).
As for gasoline, both Shell V-Power (91 octane) and Chevron (94 octane) contains no ethanol! Where abouts you gonna visit? local there and can give you some pointers =D

East Vancouver i am not sure why, it usually isn't THAT bad. Traffic does seem to be very slow though.
AS FOR RICHMOND LOL easiest way to explain is google "Richmond Learns to Park" and take a look at the dedicated FB page for some shits and giggles. Richmond is notorious for a lot of bad drivers. Have a huge ratio of New to Canada Drivers. You won't believe what some drivers will do and how they drive/park. Also, weekends in Richmond is the time when EVERYONE goes out and traffic is just horrid + horrible drivers = GG. Cheers!
