35 series front & 30 series rear?

I'm running 255/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear right now. I need to replace rears very soon and will be installing coilovers in a couple of weeks. Looking to drop the car about 1.5" in the front and 1" or so in the rear.

My question is, would I benefit dropping to a 30 series tire in the rear to accommodate the drop and mitigate rubbing?

I see many people running this setup. I'd like to know any potential drawbacks.

FYI - running on oem 220's

Any input? Trying to order rear tires very soon. Working with a short time frame.

I know there will be some good responses on here.

Only drawback is ride comfort but shouldn't be much of an issue in the rear. People usually run the 30 in the rear to compensate for a wider tire. The wider the tire, the taller the profile. For example if you run a 255 in front and a 295 in rear, a 295 30 will be about the same profile as a 255 35. I wouldn't suggest running a tire with a much smaller profile in the rear. With the sizes you listed I would keep the profile even. 35 or 30. with a 255 up front id say 35 profile is the best option.

You should be fine with stock wheels running 275/35-19. I have it on my car and it's lowered. My offsets are 22 on a 10" wide 19" rear wheels

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
