Lowering Stock Suspension

Hi there... my apologies if this question has been asked already but is it possible to lower wheels with stock suspension? I have 19" stock rims and MPSS tires. How far can it be lowered if possible? Any pictures?
Thanks in advance!!

You can lower the wheels easily... Park in a big pothole.

Other then that, it'll be difficult since the wheels and tires already reside on the pavement.

OP, how are you considering lowering the wheels? Do you mean lower the car on the stock suspension? If so, the only way I know how to keep it stock and lower the suspension is with the recalibrated springs that come with the CPZ option. Although if you ask me when looking at the pictures of a CPZ, the car looks higher (at least in the front). So I'm not sure that would even do it.

BL......you have to modify the suspension to lower the car.

Rear wheels are lower on this car while using stock suspension. If you turn the car around, the front wheels will be lower.

Well you got to admit, the question is unanswerable. It's like asking, "How hot can my shower be without installing a shower in my bath tub?"

er...

You cannot lower stock suspension. You have to do sleeve kits like KW HAS or the up coming M-Performance version. Both are the same thing since KW is manufacturing the M-Performance Sleeve Kits.

And no you cannot lower wheels. That is... scientifically impossible.

Actually, you know what? I take it back. You can lower the car (not wheels) while keeping the stock suspension. All you have to do is raise the strut tower mounts; some thing like the pics below. You will be limited by the the hood though... unless you cut a holes in the hood too! Damn Daniel!!!!

** Edit NOTE: In no way do I actually endorse this mod. **

Oh c'mon, this was really only a little joking around (albeit at your expense) but no derogatory comments were ever made.

I tried to help by asking a clarification from you but you never responded.

Yes springs will lower your car, now you just have to figure out how much you want to lower and if you want your ride quality to change.

In my case, I only wanted a minimal drop because I don't want to rip off my front lip on the damn dremples (Dutch speed bumps) over here so I went with AC Shnitzer springs. They lowered .5" in the back and 1.1" in the front with no change in ride quality whatsoever

There are a lot of good threads on springs and people's feedback. just hit this

I can post a pic of what my drop looks like if you want. Best of luck with your new baby, keep a sense of humor and welcome to the forum!

The stock springs you mean? No they are set and predetermined otherwise everyone would be doing it if they are ok with the stock ride quality.
