iPhone integration good enough to switch?
Upgrade time, choosing between S7 Edge and iPhone 6S plus. Coming from Galaxy Note 2. I am leaning to the Edge, just to stay in the ecosystem, but we are also a Mac family so there would be some advantage to switching. My question is whether the iPhone integration is good enough that it should be a factor? I mostly would like to use the iDrive interface to control Pandora, Rhapsody (if possible), and retrieve text messages. Have not had much luck with these functions on the Note. I don't have extended USB, but do have 6NS coded.
Thanks in advance for your input! |

I'm not a power user by any means, but I've been happy with the iPhone integration. As far as connected apps, I mostly use Audible and once in a while Pandora (my phone is fully stocked with tunes). I love the ability to see/hear my text messages through the car - I even have a button programmed to that screen. And interacting with Siri through the car makes hands free easy. If only Waze worked through the iDrive...
I have an iPhone 6. -X- |

Siri is super useful for two things: 1. Controlling music playback (since most of my music is on my phone). I can fire up a specific artist/song/album/playlist, which is safer than doing so through the iDrive while driving. 2. Firing off text messages, although sometimes she picks interesting words for me. I'm sure there are other good uses that I haven't thought of. -X- |
