The Nissan GT-R R35 gets an update.




-Power increased by 20 HP
-New Titanium Exhaust System
-Active Noise Cancellation is available
-Screen upgraded to an 8.0 inch unit
-Improved interior
-Paddle Shifters are now mounted to the steering wheel

These new updates help ensure that Porsche will not slack-off on their 911

Call me crazy, but I'd take a used 991 Turbo S over this new GTR any day of the week. This new GTR fronts looks like the new Maxima, which is disgusting looking. The 2017 Porsche 991 Turbo S will have 580HP, 0-60 in around 2.5s (real world), and top speed for 205mph. I would highly doubt this GTR will give it too much trouble.

I do respect that Nissan has the only tuner friendly Jap Super Car.

Am I the only one to think that all the Jap car designs are headed the wrong direction (since 2009)? Acura, Lexus, Nissan, Infiniti, etc... All looks terrible. Even the new NSX makes me want to puke.


I owned many pre-2009 Jap cars, 3rd Gen TL, EVO IX, '08 350z, Infiniti G/FX, and even a Honda Del Sol (first car) etc. They were good looking cars. I can't say that I like a single Jap car line up right now. Exception would be the new Miata, which is headed to its old roots (lighter weight and simple design)

I'll wait for a used 2017 Turbo S.

As soon as someone rolls it off the lot, I can probably get it for $135k.

I do have a soft spot for the gtr and have test driven many but never pulled the trigger on one. Bang for buck they are pretty unbeatable though..

Are you still considering a lightly used 991.1 TTS to tune to hell out of? Or holding out for a mark 2? Such an amazing car and as a daily driver it's unreal, as you well know! I've had mine from new since Nov 14 and still haven't needed a service, maintenance or a drop of oil yet

I think 2018 will be the next-gen GTR, then that one will go until 2030. Lol!
