I got selected to buy the M4 GTS?

Guys especially more of our collector oriented guys.. Would you take the spot to pick up a M4 GTS one of 400 state side?

135k for an M4 no less is closing in on used huracan money.

What are your thoughts? The email said I have till April something to order, and a Fedex with a hand written invite and serial number will be delivered...

Used Huracan money? What data do you have to support this? These are the latest auction prices (low ballers).

With that being said, I have no input on the GTS as Ive not done enough research but based on rarity and price it might be a good option.

I guess by that I mean to me thats not that much more for a far more superior car lol. 138+ tax and all that I'm looking at being less than an engine build away from a far more exclusive car. Which I'm guessing most people will see the GTS and think I riced it out lol vs. knowing its a limited run car.

I just don't want something that's going to end up not actually being exclusive then I'm left with a 140k M4 lmao

I think he meant closing on AMG-GTS money.

One GTS name, two legendary German automakers. Lol!

In all seriousness, I think unless one intends on tracking the car, it's a waste of a car, but probably not money. It will probably appreciate in value, even more so if you keep it a garage queen, but then what's the point? Cars are meant to be driven and experienced.

No, no I meant Lambo, but also that or used 2010-2013 458 money.... I mean if you can seriously drop 140k on an M4, I'd say as a buyer you should be able to find the funds to spend an extra 50-90k lol

and honestly I'd just park the thing in the garage if it is going to be special, again having the m4 I don't see anything truly special. It does everything well and is a value, but it isn't something I'll look back and laud over having owned, like the E60 M5, or the E92 M3, or my GTR.

I mean thats the thing, I put 27k miles on an M4 with Jb4, and stock in 11 months lmao I've literally driven it more than most people will drive it in a standard lease period lmao.

For this it would be simply about being special, but if its not in-fact doing that and I'm looking at having what was akin to a lime rock/ frozen e92 then I want no part of that because at least to me those cars were special.

Same lmao SMG life lol

But you get my point those cars and engines will be lauded after for the next 20-50 years... Where I don't see what the lasting legacy of the M4/F10 era will be... I mean maybe if you all get the m5/4 running 7s or 8s lmao.

I think the lasting legacy of the F10 M5 will be reliability over the previous E60 M5 and the fact that it has an incredibly strong and reliable engine. For the M4, well it's just the King so there you go.

LOL yeah thats what I tell people about the F10 m5... Having beat the living shit out of mine for 20k miles I'd honestly not bat an eye to buy one that had 1 or 2 owners with 60-90k miles on it just from what I've seen from the car. Its insanely reliable.

Friends who work at bmw are telling me it'll be a tad more different than that like first production car in the US to use water injection, but still fundamentally yes lol. its 135k+ 6% tax on an M4

I don't wanna end up in a year hearing they're gonna mass produce them lmao and then I really will have a 70k M4 lmao

Actually the first production car with water injection was the 1962 Oldsmobile cutlass jetfire lol . Water injection in no way makes it one of a kind or special .

Being a king owner I love the car for what it does, and mainly being convertible. I wouldn't buy the GTS for MSRP I think it's one horrible looking car, and BMW's reputation for mass production is not the greatest. They have slapped a m badge on everything they build, and good for them it makes money. To park the car in the garage and hope it appreciates is pointless to me because a car is meant to be enjoyed vs. waiting for it to make some coin. I've yet to meet a non professional driver drive a car to the limit, and I can't get close to 70% of the limit in my GT3. Too many options at 135k minus the mark up, and doesn't look better than the M4 called a GTS with a bunch of bolt on parts. My two cents.

I really wouldn't bother, especially if you think of it as an investment and you don't intend on driving it much, let alone at the track...

Look at the F10 M5 jahre 30. Only like 300 made and massive sticker prices were paid over list, but we have one for sale in the uk now, fully spec'd with 300 miles on the clock, ceramics, akra exhaust etc. Etc.. For sale now at under £100k. That sure was not a sound investment for that buyer!

I think the e92 m3 gts would be a better buy personally. That baby will keeps its value better as time goes by...

Yeah very true. I'd actually want to drive an e92 M3GTS lol. This was strictly because I got offered it based on the massive amount of BMW's I buy...

I mean I have videos topping out the M4 [actually with 100 miles on the car I had it at the speed limiter lol], M5, going 200 in the e92 m3, taking turns at 120,130,140 in my more uncaring days lol but you can trust, I use the cars to the fullest . I do agree though most people never push their cars to the limits they can go. Yet oddly will brag about track times, 1/4 mile times etc. lol

I really can't trust BMW on what they're going to do marketing wise. Who knows if this thing is lauded over they might be so inclined to make another 700 or another 800.

And thats kinda my thinking now that I've talked to a bunch of people and am looking at it from a perspective of objectivity a 2014 GT3 or even an F430 is a much better car, with a much better following and legacy than a turbo v6 that sadly sounds terrible lol...

M4 and Huracan shouldn't be in the same sentence ever man.

Actually anything BMW shouldn't be in any sentence with Huracan...

Unfortunately most BMWs don't keep value very well-price of a used '13 M5 will low miles goes for what a used '15 M4 currently goes for.. If you wait long enough the values converge (look at '08/'09 M3 and M5s go for nowadays).
Maybe M4 GTS will be different in retaining value, time will tell...
