tire sizes and coilover quesion, Chime in gurus!

hey guys, I've always ran non staggered setup on my previous cars, but because there are limited sizes on wheels I'm considering, is running staggered my best bet??
18x9.5 et 20-22 / 18x10.5 et 20-23 (ze40,te37sl, etc wheels I'm looking at.)
I was thinking 275/35 and 285/35 to get a closer feel to a non stagger setup.
ruled out 285 squared because I feel its too much for a 9.5 wheel
I was ready to get 18.10.5 +22 squared but not sure no more because seemed people are either running spacers which I'm not the biggest fan of or rubbing onto aftermarket coilovers.

am I on the right track you guys?? feedback from experience on both setup would be great

To run a square set you'll need spacers unless you have wheels that are the same width but different offset. That would mean you can't rotate tires front and rear. If you're going to run a staggered set, you may as well do it right and get appropriate size tires. If you're going to run 9.5 and 10.5 i would say 265 and 295 are about right but keep in mind that all of these performance tires vary in sizes. I run square Pilot Sport Cup 2s in 265 and they run incredibly wide. Fills up my 10 inch wheels perfectly. Also 18x10.5 et22 is super aggressive for the front. For that to fit you'd need a 275 tire (which is a bit narrow for that size wheel) and you would need at least 3 degrees of camber if not more which means you need camber plates. This is assuming you're lowered.
