Improving Shift Feel - SSK?

Hi All,
I'm interested in improving the shift feel in my 135i. With an S2000 as my weekend car, the shift feel in the 1er leaves a lot to be desired.

I've been doing a bit of research and looking at options like UUC or even BMW's SSK but I'm not seeing much agreement on the forums on the pros and cons. I was leaning towards the UUC but after reading several reviews it seems like many people have had fitment issues? Something about it being designed for the 335i and never properly tested on the 135i?

Those of you who have an SSK or any other mods to improve shift feel, can you share your experience or recommendation?

It will never feel as good as a Honda shifter, let alone a s2k.

You've already done a CDV delete, nothing much left unless you can somehow get your hands on a 135i performance shifter. Changing tranny fluid helps.

Yea I realize that - not expecting to compare it to the s2k, just trying to make it better. I have to believe that something like a short shift kit would improve the feel. I don't know if there are any sort of bushing upgrades you can do. The CDV delete was great and improved the smoothness of the shifts, but it doesn't really change the shift feel itself.

I have the BMS short throw clutch stop. Makes the pedal a little more predictable. You can also change to a bearing in the clutch pedal itself. Nothing I know of for the gear lever aside from a short throw shifter.

What fluid are you running?

Yea I actually do have the BMS clutch stop as well. After doing the clutch stop and the cdv delete, the clutch itself actually feels good now for travel & engagement. I'm thinking I might have to go with a SSK to improve it further, I just don't know which to go with after seeing poor reviews of the UUC fitment.

I'm actually not positive what fluid is in the car because I only got the car about 5k miles ago and haven't changed it yet. It's on my to-do list for an upcoming weekend, what fluid do you use?

Whatever you do, do not use RedLine. I know people will disagree about this. I am speaking more about my personal experience. I've had great results with Amsoil and Motul. Just make sure you get the correct GL rating for the car.
